2008 Alumni Petition

Below is a copy of a petition that was sent to Princeton administrators in 2008 in support of an Asian American Studies Program. The petition accumulated 692 signatures without mass-circulation. Moreover, people who were principal sponsors of the petition included Gordon Chang, director of Asian American Studies at Stanford University, trustees, professors, and Franklin Odo, founding director of the Asian Pacific American Institute at the Smithsonian.

The drive for Asian American Studies exists inside the university community (see:survey) and outside among Princeton alums!
