October 8, 2014 § Leave a comment

On Tuesday, October 14 at 7:00 PM, watch Kenny Endo and Kaoru Watanabe perform with So Percussion in Taplin Auditorium in Fine Hall. Endo and Watanabe’s work is a bold re-contextualization of Japanese theater and festival traditions within a contemporary musical landscape. Although they specialize in taiko drums and shinobue bamboo flutes, Endo and Watanabe weave in other musical traditions from around the world through their original compositions, arrangements of tradition pieces, and improvisations. Admission is free.  taiko concert flier2
